For over five decades, our family has been a cornerstone of the Chico, California design community. It was a natural evolution for sisters Sage, Sara, and Robin, along with best friend Nicole, to reimagine the historic Nantucket building into a spectacular new downtown Chico event venue: The Westport.
The name itself felt like destiny; while hanging a map of coastal New England, the word "Westport" practically illuminated itself from the building's storied wood beams. Today, we bring that same legendary attention to detail to every wedding and corporate gathering we host. While our 12,000-square-foot space is grand in scale, our approach remains rooted in the personal touch of a locally owned business, ensuring every event is centered around family and our clients' unique visions.
Our passion for aesthetics didn't end when we opened our doors as a venue. We continue to offer professional interior design services for those looking to bring our signature "California casual" look into their own homes. Whether you are seeking a full room refresh or a consultation on renovations, Sage and Nan remain dedicated to the art of design.

“We had the best experience renting the Westport for my daughter’s baby shower. The staff was excellent - really fantastic to work with. They were quick to respond and helpful with suggestions. They met me to do a walk through and helped isolated the space to utilize it best for our needs.
The location is great - the facility is beautiful. Clean - well appointed - easy to set up and clean up.

“The Westport is a delightful place. The venue with its stunning rustic but elegant features had me romancing myself down the aisle and dancing the night away before I could finish dialing the number!
When we met with the ladies who own The Westport, they couldn’t have been more lovely and Professional! They provided me a list to local businesses from Catering, Alterations, Bakery’s , Dj’s , Photographers, and more. It made planning a breeze! Went over layouts for floor planning and they were completely open for suggestions. My Husband and I ( So fun to say) really appreciated how the ladies of The Westports genuinely supported us in making our special day our own.
The Venue location is perfect for a downtown spot. It’s far enough down that parking wasn’t an issue at all! Close enough to still walk downtown for the after party! We even had the “ Parade of lights” that Saturday and it didn’t affect parking for our guest or vendors.
